Our Productive Government
Oct. 11th, 2002 02:31 pmAs I noted elsewhere, I'm a big fan of http://thomas.loc.gov/. (Wonder if LJ, when it htmlizes that, will get the trailing period right.) I went to look at the record of today's activity in the House, and discovered the following, which I have summarized, but not much.
"10:00 am. The house convenes. Dan Miller acts as Speaker pro tem for the day. 10:01 am. The House is led in prayer. 10:02 am. The pledge of allegiance is recited and Dan Miller sets the next meeting of the House (October 15). 10:03 am. Dan Miller moves to adjourn. Agreed by voice vote; house adjourned."

dtm immediately observed, "So there's no evidence that anyone besides Dan Miller was actually there."
