Crossword times

So Katherine and I made an ACPT pact (OK, not quite, but it's a letter shift) to do the NYT crossword daily. I've been timing myself against her, not for competition but in order to get a sense of how hard a crossword is--for instance, the Saturday the 23rd crossword took me 19:39, but insofar as it took her 16:01, that wasn't so bad. (If it had taken her nine minutes, I'd know I was going far too slowly.) So.

Even so: eighteen minutes behind Katherine for both of the past two weeks. Must get faster. Also: must get more accurate. For the week of the 24th, I had two of the seven puzzles without mistakes. Even Monday I had a stupid error.

Totals: -60 for March 17th (70:59, total time), -635 for March 24 (61:21...almost ten minutes faster, but those mistakes'll kill ya).
