Semi-politics
Oct. 1st, 2008 10:37 pmFirst, your daily reminder that Bill O'Reilly is batshit insane: when a guest remarks that Nancy Pelosi had apparently practiced her speech, he says, "You know who used to do that, who practiced for hours before making a speech?"
Second, and more importantly, someone's further thoughts on the Dayton mosque attack. Especially interesting, I think, is the statement that "I think common cause with the Jewish community is essential in this regard". In my naiveté, I've never really understood why there isn't more solidarity between minority groups; its flip side, the "we're more oppressed and persecuted than you are", seems so divisive.
I think I may write to the ADL. I'm not necessarily optimistic, but I feel like I ought to try.
