Fiction meets reality
Dec. 24th, 2003 04:09 amI hate it, I mean I really hate it when I'm trying to write fiction, and I lose to reality.
Sparked by a discussion tonight with
lilisonna and her husband, I sat down to write a short story, possibly a short-short, around the premise of misuse of magic. (Or possibly "magick." The name Crowley appears a few times so far.)
I reached the clear end of the introductory section (plus, of course, the title), and stopped to take stock of how much I'd done--I was at the end of a page, and I wondered if it was a good enough stopping point for me to get some sleep. So I checked the word count in MS Word.
Guess. Just guess.
666.
I'm quitting fiction and going back to fact. In the meantime, I'm going to bed.
