So. Anyone know anywhere in the area that buys used books? (Hint: not McIntyre & Moore, who (a) aren't likely to want what we have and (b) were incredibly snotty on the phone when we called to ask.)

Rodney's buys used books and will give you more for them if you accept store credit. Pandemonium only gives store credit, and accepts no Marion Zimmer Bradley or Anne McCaffrey, because they're all full up of that.

I've been meaning to go for weeks. If you want a lift over there, to do two books buying extravaganzas at once, I'll take you there - it'll actually force me to get my books over there too.

Well, that is, unless you have more than three or four boxes of books. Then I don't think they'd fit in the car with my books. There'd be a book fight, and the winner would be The Ethics of Jaques Lacan, and then we'd have to spend our afternoon fetching a book iced tea and peeling grapes for a gladiatorial book fight winner.
