I should note that, in the week with "62 wrong letters," 56 of them were from a Saturday crossword which, when time ran out at 30 minutes, was still half-blank. (Or actually I'd filled in some random guesses, one of which was right.) As it was, I had to websearch to learn that one of my across answers was wrong, and I had to websearch down another three of the answers before I could finally finish, in an hour and six minutes.
I don't know what went so wrong--combination of strange obscure facts, misleading clueing, and things I just couldn't come up with, I guess. Disheartening.
