Philadelphia favor

So, OK. I need a favor from any of my readers living in the Philadelphia area.

I need to find an apartment there starting in January. Unfortunately, I won't be there in person until January 7th. So I need someone who can look at apartments around the UPenn/Center City area for me, to assure me that it looks inhabitable and that the roommates, if any, don't seem to be ax murderers.

Can anyone help out? (Perhaps emailing me is best.)

Did you post/check out craigslist philly for people seeking roommates? I had good luck with the Boston one, I found a pretty nifty person near Lynn, and I'm all set when I move out to Boston in a few weeks.
