The headline on the Montgomery Advertiser, Monday, December 25, 2006:

Churches celebrate birth of Savior

Some excerpts:

Across the tri-county region, in churches big and small, thousands of people will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this holiday season.

[...]

Through his son Jesus, whose image colorfully shines through the church's stained-glass windows, anyone can achieve God's purpose for his or her life, Wolf said.

[...]

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ...

Wow. Some hard-hitting news there. Also a nice indication of how you can say anything you like in a newspaper article if you stick "[name] said" at the end of it, and thank heavens they defined "Christmas" for us, in case someone here didn't know.

That is why I'm leaving the midwest.
That is why I can't wait to move to Boston this weekend.

Oh yes! Imminently welcome to Boston!

I'd love to catch up with you at some point, though I myself am going to be somewhat in and out of the city. Perhaps at the Diesel Cafe in Davis some weekend...?

Sounds good. Most of my weekends should be randomly free. Just drop me an e-mail when you're not too busy. (Jenaflynn@gmail.com)

And weirdly enough we have a Diesel Cafe in Milwaukee. Makes me wonder if it's just a popular name...

I fled central Maine to come here six years ago for similar-enough reasons. It is in fact a fine place to flee to. Welcome.

Thank you. and through whatever odd chance of fate, I have read your Mac Book. Good job. It's gained a spot on my work bookshelf.
