Tentative plan

OK, so here's what I think I'm planning to do:

March 22nd, take a 4pm train to Stamford, CT ($47), get there at 6:30. Hang out until the wee hours, take a 4am train to Boston ($49), get there around 8:00.

You who are going to the Stamford tournament: does that make sense to you? $96 is pretty close to what I'd pay for a train ticket to Boston (albeit somewhat more than I'd pay for a plane ticket), so I think it's reasonable pricewise. But is it sensible to plan to be at the Stamford Marriott from 6:30pm Thursday to 4am Friday? How hard is it to get from the Stamford train station to the Stamford Marriott (and vice versa)?

... that actually said "delayed trains", but since that is one of the funniest tacos I have ever had I'm going to leave it. (On the way to "trains" which I eventually had to spell, I also went through "brains" and "terrains". Oddly enough, that sentence came out fine, just now.)

I never come until Friday, so I don't know how many people will even be there that early.

The train station is walking distance, even with luggage.

It doesn't seem worth the trouble unless you know what people/activities will be around on Thursday night. I wonder why Will never put an arrival/departure board on the website.

I'll be there on Thurs for the first time ever so I hope some folks will be around. It's really more to already be there, fresh and relaxed, to greet people in the lobby on Friday.
