It might be a little childish, but I can't help being really amused that the "About the editor" on the back of this pragmatics reader edited by Steven Davis misspells the title of one of his books. Though I might actually want to read a book called Casual Theories of Mind.

It's like, y'know, a mind and all.

No, no. Wait ... get this ... it's not a mind, only we think it's a mind, because it's our mind that's doing the thinking, right?

Whoa.

I proofread the puzzles insert in the "Wordplay" DVD. A tiny line at the back of the book says it was proofread by "Ellen Ripstan."

We loved that! But, uh... [livejournal.com profile] ennienyc, is your name actually something like "Ennie Ripstein"? (Hard to judge how far they got it wrong, going from just your LJID.)

Yeah—for those of us who know her (e.g., me), we know her name is "Ellen Ripstein". "En" is her name in the NPL. (If the people who printed the book didn't know how to spell her name, they could have, say, watched the DVD, since she's featured prominently in it.)
