Wanna know what it takes to make me absurdly happy?

Bus schedules for the Palm Pilot. I've been wanting these for a while. I can finally stop squinting at the wall in Harvard, I can finally stop nervously eyeing the clock and saying, "I wonder if it's too late to catch a bus home"...

Absurdly happy.

Well, it's about ruddy time. I never could figure out why they had commuter rail schedules for Palm but not the rest of the schedules!

I think there was a subtle demographic/socioeconomic message encoded in there: the assumption that people who use PDAs are more likely to need the commuter rail than the bus.

Shows what *they* know. :-P

I'm never going to be one to claim that the MBTA don't have enormous number of classist and racist behaviors (Silver Line, anyone?) but I'm not sure that I would give this particular one that attribution.

Ditto. There are many, many more bus routes than commuter rail routes. And buses run much more often, and are never on schedule. Trying to put all of that info together is a pain enough, but to me, the more important issue is the idea that people might rely on that information.

I don't use bus schedules to tell me when a bus might be at my stop. I use it to check frequency. It's all it is good for, AFAIC.
