Since I know that at least one reader here either speaks Finnish or knows someone who does: can someone who speaks Finnish tell me what this product is, and what case the "-n"-suffixed form is?

It's ต้มยำ.

Well, okay, it's tom yum paste. And -n could be genitive or accusative.

Does this have something to do with your username?

The question does; the paste doesn't. So "tahna" means "paste"?

I believe it does. You mix Tom Yam-tahna with water or coconut milk and other stuff to make Tom Yam–keitto, which is soup.

'Paste' is probably the best translation in this case, but I think tahna also encompasses other viscous substances, like Nutella.

I don't speak it, but Finney is half Finnish. Want me to ask him? :)

I'm pretty sure his answer would boil down to "Can I eat it? Can I fetch it? Can I chase it? If not, not interested."

if you want a second opinion, btw, let me know, and i'll get my sister on it (though it sure sounds like q_pheevr knows of what q_pheevr speaks).
