In the movie Brazil:
Terrorist bombings, national-security scares, universal police surveillance, bureaucratic arrogance, a callous elite, perversion of science, and government use of torture evoke the worst aspects of the modern megastate.
And that, of course, is what makes it the perfect conservative movie. None of those things, after all, happened during the Bush years.

Man, I love the National Review.

I am pleased to see Forrest Gump (aka the remake of Being There, where the audience is not let in on the joke) on their list.

Wow. I started reading the list, and thought that you were parodying the list with your "Brazil" entry. But it's actually on the list, unironically!

Did I mention how much I love the National Review sometimes? I mean, not when they defend Rush Limbaugh's anti-Semitism. But on occasions they outdo The Onion.

Did I mention that I love the National Review? It's the same mentality that made Reagan's presidential campaign want to use Springsteen's "Born in the USA" because it's so patriotic.

Without even looking, I bet I know exactly why NRO would include Juno on a list of conservative movies. And even letting that laughable justification pass ... did they even watch the last ten minutes? Isn't that ending a no-no?
