There's something very, very clichéd about websearching for that girl you had a huge crush on in seventh grade and probably would have tried to date if your family hadn't moved that summer and so you never really even had a chance to say goodbye, and finding the business website of her and her husband, and looking at her picture, and saying, out loud, "Holy [bleep]. She has not aged well."

Clichéd...but satisfying.

Your new friend's kid brother at summer camp asks you out. He's 11, you're 12. You point out he's too young for you. Maintain a friendship with his sister through high school. Fast forward 23 years... You see him again at the grocery store. He recognizes you. Facebook add. Keep track of the failure of his engagement as you go through a divorce. A few months later, you're living together. He's sleeping behind me right now. Life can work out... But in your case it's good it didn't.
