Good day for puzzles. Not a great day for work, perhaps.

Punted a colloquium talk to go to the Diesel and work. Did some work. Also did some sitting around blankly and perfecting my Python program to solve knight's tour crypts. But did do some work, coming up with some ways to reorganize the thesis.

And then, poker. Been quite a while since I played poker for money. It wasn't a lot of money--$5 a player, nickel ante, two raises, 15 cents max raise. But it was a lot of poker. And a little beer. And: up $7.20 at the end of the night. Hence the inauguration of the icon (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] jadelennox!).

Probably too tired to work right now, alas. Tomorrow: more work. And indeed, perhaps even buying lunch with my new-found wealth.

Idiots!

Look, I don't want to suggest that the nice folks who maintain the Sprint website are morons, but...no, wait, that's exactly what I want to suggest.

On their Support Webpage, they have a login to check your account online. Of course, it requires a password, but it does have a convenient "forgot your password?" link.

Of course, what it links to is this very helpful page.

Morons.

EDIT: If I tell Opera to lie to Sprint and say it's Mozilla or MSIE, I get the page Cazique found (noted in the comments). If I don't, and Opera says, "Hey, this is Opera", the page it gets says only:

This is an example of how to integrate your procedure for your users who have forgotten their passwords.

For help with your password, contact portal support at (555) 555-5555.

The portal support representative will help you log in.

Hence my less-than-impressedness. Somewhat less unimpressed now, but still kind of unimpressed. Bad web programmers. No cookie.
