Ngrams: winter

Today in ngrams:

• too hot, too cold, too warm, too cool — obviously not all of them weather-related, but still interesting to see their relative occurrences.
• snow shovel, snowplow, snowblower: definitely a graph of changes in how we remove snow...
• sledding, tobogganing, snowshoeing: ...how we play in snow...
• Colorado, Utah, Vermont, the Alps: ...and where we play in snow
• Finally, the way a title can change things: white Christmas vs. White Christmas, which is why it's nice to have case-sensitive searching. (It'd also be nice to have non-case-sensitive searching.)

Also, for those who had any doubts that Google Books search results should be taken with a grain of salt: Tahnan. Why that graph isn't a straight line at zero is left as a (fairly easy) exercise to the reader.
