More stupid meme
Jun. 15th, 2003 06:53 amOK, I gave in and looked at "ljmatch," which I found a little disappointing because really it was all about being a dating service, and I didn't particularly feel like giving it my height, weight, hair color, nor those of my preferred whatever.
But I did fill out the required bits, and ended up with a list of those I'm compatible with. The lowest on the list is 76%, and I have no idea if that's fairly low by these standards or if that's about right.
The highest on the list is 110%. I'm still not sure how you get to be 110% compatible with anyone.
I also wonder whether, having asked questions like "are you more A or more B," the thing assumes that two people of type A will get along well, as opposed to people of opposite types who will complement each other more. I suspect the former, and doubt it as well.
In the end, I'm not posting the full results here, partly because it seems so wrong to rank friends in such an artificial and needless manner, but also because the stupid web page didn't give me anything to paste in.
So you don't get to find out who I match 110%. Sorry. But it's probably not really all that surprising. (Mmm, redhead.)

Date: 2003-06-15 04:34 am (UTC)I match up with someone at the 110% level, and I noticed that he and I have the same "compatability" for all of our friends in common. My guess is that we answered all of the questions exactly the same.

Date: 2003-06-15 06:54 am (UTC)If I'm remembering right, the first time you put in all your, er, stats it doesn't give any code to paste. There's some other link you click after (to update the list?) that gives you code then.
All of which is far too much trouble for any quiz to ask of me, too. When they start requiring navigational effort, that navigation eats the copy-paste effort budget right out of me.
