tahnan: It's pretty much me, really. (Default)

Remember that "what Google says about me" meme? The one where you Google "<my first name> is" to see what you get?

Only some people will be amused by the following.

In order, and unedited:

* Tharn is what rabbits go into when they see the end coming or imagine the end is coming or can't decide if what they imagined is real or not.
* Tharn is a radically symmetric plant like creature with limited ambulatory capabilities.
* Tharn is now dead and his right hand man, Count Renato Biagio blames Richius for his beloved emperors death.
* Tharn is a dying man touched by the gods and struggling to use his power for good.
* Tharn is livid, scattering about the Imperial Palace like a rabid dog.
* Tharn is learning to ride the infamous hrududil that like to graze in the Alhambra hills.
* Tharn is well known in the area as a teacher of wizards....
* Tharn is not able to do that anymore because, alas, he has suicided.
* tharn is being poopy.
* Tharn is too flighty to set up and run any decent spy ring.
* Tharn, is a very solid player throughout.
* Tharn is possibly Tarzan in Prehistory.
* Tharn is really ticked off and uses his magic to steal Dyana and defeat all his enemies.
* Tharn is now a respected warrior in the new settlement.
* Tharn is a constrictor, so he has no venom and very small teeth in the back of his mouth.
* Tharn is our sworn enemy, he WILL die by my sword! This is my solemn vow.. gnagnaars..

Thank goodness few people are in my office yet this morning, so I don't have to explain why I'm sitting here giggling...

Tharn is too flighty to set up and run any decent spy ring

That would explain why Matt's bad guys always got killed at the end of Agent Spy.

*giggle*

It's funny, when I Yahoo "Tharn is" I get:

Tharn is at 97% health

Damn!

It turns out that one thing "tharn" actually is is a term from Watership Down, hence the first quote.

Googling for Tharn turned up the plot of a 1991 Angus Wells novel, which was mildly interesting.

Am I the only one who thinks, "This is my solemn vow.. gnagnaars.." is hilarious?

No, you're not. :)

For some reason it reminds me of the "Rarrg!" gnome.

I wonder if you could rephrase it as new lyrics to "Let There Be Peace on Earth..."

Rarrg!

(Must be sung over-emotively, preferably by schoolchildren)
Tharn is our enemy, his life we cannot allow,
He WILL die by my sword, let this be my solemn vow,
To find "Nu Jerzi" and break the snowglobe and kill him violently,
Let there be de-i-cide and let it begin with Gnagnaars!

I guess the answer is, "Yes, you could rephrase it as new lyrics to 'Let There be Peace on Earth..."

Oh dear. Now people are sticking their heads into my office to see why I'm giggling. (Context: The first, last and only time I've sung "Let There Be Peace On Earth" was as part of the Christmas Pops, where it was a sing-along-with-the-audience thing. I'm now getting a picture of esteemed Pops conductor Keith Lockhart, a.k.a. 'Captain Smirk', looking particularly soulful as he leads the Pops audience in a vow to destroy Tharn.)

Nothing under "mlstrm is," but "Maelstrom is" gets a few interesting ones:

First: I'll get there as soon as I can find directions.
Second: One whole octave! Yay!

And also here and here.
