The joys of finding airfares
Apr. 22nd, 2004 11:11 pmMy fiancee and I are flying to Colorado later this year, and it's been a horrid process to find airfares. A website I use that compares fares came up with fares at $248, but I can't book through that website. A travel agent found fares for about ten dollars more than that, so we decided to hold off before booking with her.
So tonight I went to United's website and only found things around $400; I called United, and put a hold on a $370 ticket.
Then, on a whim, I went to Delta's website. The bad news was that they raised the fare they quoted in between the time I said "yes I want it" and the time I said "OK here's the credit card info," they raised the price.

I don't understand airlines at all.
