So there're a couple of memes that seem to be making the Memerounds.

One is, more or less,

Post a memory of me in the comments. It can be anything you want. Then post this in your journal etc. etc.

The other is:

Invent a memory of me and post it in the comments. It can be anything you want, so long as it's something that's never happened. Then post this in your journal etc. etc.

Sure, why not. Go ahead, post one. Or the other. Or both, in the same comment or separate ones. Heck, with my memory, I'd bet I score slightly below chance on guessing which ones are real.

we were out one night, i can't remember how we ended up at that bar in chinatown. anyway, we had partaken of lots of blue frothy fruity drinks, which is why you ultimately agreed to get up and take a turn at the karaoke machine. i could NOT believe my eyes when you launched into your song, not a single dry eye in the house when you finished. i had heard that song a million times before, but something about your rendition touched me (and later, you touched me rowr!) and everyone else in that room (and later, you touched them too, rowr!). i think it was the deeply felt conviction you infused into that melodious, melancholy refrain which unified, in a common bond of compassion, a room filled with drunken strangers for that brief moment in time. i believed with every fiber of my being, that while you had indeed been to paradise, you had never been to you.

What about the time you stopped a mugging using only your knowledge of semantics? The look on the faces of the cops when the guy turned to them and said, "I'm guilty, officers, but I have no idea what to call what I did anymore" was something to see.

i still remember a time in college, soon after we'd first met. we were at one of those parties over at furrow, and you'd had about two cups of jagermeister too many. you were trying to convince anyone who would listen that carl sandberg was buried in the middle of the quad. i just kept refilling your cup and trying to watch the earl and slacksy rerun in the lounge.
