tahnanI printed something out in the department today, and by luck it was on the 8th floor, which meant I was passing through the 8th floor common area. I glanced at the white board, where people had been working on something or another, and then my eye caught a sentence written to the side: "Lance Nathan would be proud!"
I would? I stopped to look at what they'd written. And, in fact, they had written up some of my work. It turns out the subject came up in a discussion among the first years.
I suppose I should be proud. Or excited. But somehow I'm vaguely saddened to think that, no matter how good my dissertation is, this will always be my most-cited work.
