My apologies to, er, everyone I know; I've missed any number of social gatherings this week because of this damned sore throat. Terrible timing, too--just as I was at a stopping point on the dissertation, awaiting comments, with nothing much to do until then.

I thought it was going away, except that today I have that "I want to stick a knitting needle into the side of my head and drain the pressure away" feeling. Alas.
