MapQuest identifies the larger one as "Hoffman Island" and has nothing to saw about the smaller one. (My earlier answer, now deleted, was stupidly wrong.)
the heck with that, if they want some revenue then they should put a Self-Storage on there and run a car-ferry every couple of hours. That's not far from my place, in fact.
I had no ida these islands existed, they arent many maps. I work on Ellis Island and have never heard them mentioned either. There is an unrestored infirmary on the side of the island that is part of New Jersey. I was under the impression that contagious folks were quarantined there. Thanks for pointing this out.
